I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16
All through my salvation journey, I have known this verse but never really focused on it. My Version of christianity was; as long as I pray and read the word, go to Church every sunday, give tithes and offerings, be kind to people then I am a good Christian. Yes I knew the Word of God but I didn’t really put it into practice. In my mind I was just a good-enough christian but little did I know I was serving two masters, commonly known as being lukewarm.
Let’s Dive in,
This year, God has shown me a completely new perspective of Christianity. The kind of Christianity that entails doing what God requires and also refraining from doing what is contrary to His word. Remember, Adam had done everything that God had asked him to do even naming the animals but sin came in when they ate the fruit that God had warned them not to.
When God knit us together in our mother’s womb, He had a purpose for us which will come to completion on the day of Christ Jesus. Therefore, all through our lives, we are just unfinished and God builds us day by day, step by step until we are complete.
God can’t build us if we do not follow his ways. The potter(God) cannot make a masterpiece without good clay. Take this example, when the prodigal son had gone away from his parents and wasted his money, his father would not have helped him even if he wanted because he was not anywhere to be found. It is only when he came back that His father was able to have a feast and celebrate his return This applies to us too, God can only work in us if we allow him to. If we only surrender our lives wholly and completely to Him, he will build us even if we think we are crushed and destroyed completely. We have to Let Go and Let God.

Yes the journey is not easy but God never said it would be anyway. One thing he promised however is that His Grace is always sufficient and His power is made perfect in our weakness.

Taste and See that the Lord is Good. All the Best as You go through your own personal Journey but always remember to trust God and not to lean on your own understanding.
Peace.
