THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING

For the longest time I used to be ashamed of the gospel. I wouldn’t talk boldly about my salvation because I thought it was “not cool”. This led me to doing things that “were cool” for me to fit in and not be labelled that “Holier than thou’ kid. Looking back, I wish I would have started confessing my faith and telling others about Christ earlier.

Let’s Dive in,

Easter is here(Woohooo!!πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ) I love Easter because it is when the greatest sacrifice ever was made. Jesus our savior died on the cross for us and rose again. Our sins forgiven – past, present and future. Healing through his stripes – Isaiah 53:5. Many great things to remember and celebrate about easter.

Sadly, not everyone celebrates easter for this same reason. Some see it as just another chance to take a break from work and school, to others its about the decorations, the easter eggs and easter bunnies and to others just to sleep in all day – Maybe Netflix and Chill. Not that doing any of these things is bad, but this is not the meaning of Easter.

The gift that keeps on giving simply means something given only once but has unending benefits. This clearly depicts what Jesus did for us. Christ died for our sins once and for all – 1 Peter 3:18, yet this one time He died a long time ago is still enough for us today. The forgiveness is still available for us.

So many people don’t know that this is the reason or rather they know but they don’t really believe. This is where you come in. Jesus said to his disciples, β€œThe harvest is great, but the workers are few.” – Matthew 9:37. Don’t be ashamed of boldy confessing your salvation as I used to be. You may be the only Bible some people ever read. Don’t only use your words, but also let your life reflect Christ in you.

Although Easter is coming to an end, go out and tell those who don’t know the reason for this season, about Christ. Be the vessel that God uses to bring people to Him. One of my favourite pastors, Robert Madu, once said, “What if you go to heaven and God shows you on one side, the things you did for Him when you were on earth and on the other side, the things that He had purposed for you to do but you didn’t”. It might be because you were afraid of what people would say or you thought it was “not cool”

God is asking you today, Will you do it? Will you confess your salvation without fear? Will you tell others about me? Will your life lead others to me?

Think about that.

Peace.
